Unfortunate Reaction

The Age:

Nepal's Government clamped an indefinite curfew on parts of Kathmandu yesterday after dozens of people attacked a mosque and tried to set it on fire in protest at the killing of 12 Nepalese in Iraq. A Home Ministry statement said residents had been advised not to leave their houses during the curfew and security forces had been given shoot-on-sight orders. Nepalese police fired tear gas as more than 1000 demonstrators, some carrying Buddhist flags, burned tyres at a road junction 200 metres from the Jame Masjid (mosque) in the heart of the capital, Kathmandu.
Hopefully the Nepalese people will come to their senses and not tar all Muslims with the horid crime commited yesterday.
