Zimbabwe is truly a case of "power corrupts".
Mugabe has long since gone from international hero as leader of the struggle to achieve an independant and truly democratic nation.
He has become one of the most despicable of Africa's tyrannic leaders since the excesses of Uganda's Idi Amin.
Look carefully and learn, America, how democracy can be abused.
What portion of Zimbabwe's history since independence constitutes "democracy?" Mugabe was once a popular autocrat, now he is an unpopular one.
Seriously, have Zimbabweans ever had a true, peaceful choice regarding who governs them?
