Here’s why they’re wrong.The thought of academics embracing a world view that sees choice as dangerous, and something people need to be protected from is very scary indeed. Certainly it is not too far from some of the nanny state philosophies on the left (and compatable enough with the social conservative views) that such a philosophy could gain considerable political momentum.
