Justice Janice Rogers Brown was confirmed by the Senate today for a seat on the federal appeals court that is widely considered second in importance only to the United States Supreme Court. Justice Brown, who has been a member of the Supreme Court of California for nearly a decade, won approval for a place on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit after a wait of nearly two years. The vote was 56 to 43, with all 55 Republicans and one Democrat, Ben Nelson of Nebraska, voting in favor.

According to certain Liberals, we can expect the U.S. to collapse quite soon now.
