I caught the movie over the weekend. I thought it kicked ass!
I don't know how much people who aren't fans of Firefly will be able to get into it, but for those of us who are, it is wonderful.

I hadn't seen a single preview and didn't know anything about the movie. I absolutely loved it. I definitely see how people have compared it to the original Star Wars (though it is quite a bit more "mature").
